Wales’ first regenerative seaweed and shellfish farm
We are Câr-y-Môr, a Pembrokeshire-based community business.
We’re rolling up our sleeves to regenerate the Welsh seas and soil, and put local food back on tables, while providing year-round jobs and economic opportunities for coastal and rural communities.
Whether we’re partnering with local fishermen and gatherers, tending our own sea farms, or collaborating with land farmers, we aim to improve sea, land and food ecosystems using regenerative farming and responsible fishing.
Anyone can join as a community member for £1, collaborate as a partner, volunteer, or invest in our growth.
It began with the love of the sea…
… and a plan to create much needed year-round jobs while restoring Welsh waters through regenerative seaweed and shellfish farming.
Then we began to see the benefits for the:
SOIL — Reducing fertiliser usage and cleaning up waterways through seaweed-based biostimulants for farmers and gardeners.
TABLE — Our Beach Foods by Câr-y-Môr shop brings Welsh seafood, shellfish and seaweed back to chefs, shops, and family tables.
COMMUNITY — Creating jobs, education opportunities and connections for coastal people and the next generation.
